Mike Youle

Mike Youle is a British doctor specializing in HIV treatment. Notably he introduced the concept of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PREP) to a wider audience at the XVI International AIDS Conference, 2006 in Toronto, Canada in 2006. This was followed up the expanding the concept in publication[1]

Scientific Publications

Mike is principally noted for introducing the concept of mass pre exposure prophylaxis ( above). Other notable publications include studies in the health economics , as applied to HIV therapy.[2] The studies in health economics and health outcomes has helped to provide evidence to budget holders to fund HIV treatment within the UK.
